We’ve been honored over the last 2 years to partner with Onward Church Planting. Onward is a global family of leaders
committed to planting churches and making disciples.
We’ve partnered with them to create dozens of print materials and digital materials for those who are participating in one of their cohort seasons, as well as helping them prepare for their speaking engagements at Exponential.

In 2013, while on a retreat with Sydney, God used the words from Acts 19 to capture my heart and imagination for a new church planting movement. In Acts 19, Luke describes how God used the Apostle Paul, a rented out lecture hall, and a handful of young believers to evangelize and plant churches across an entire country in the span of two years.
Luke writes: “So Paul left them. He took the disciples with him and had discussions daily in the lecture hall of Tyrannus. This went on for two years, so that all the Jews and Greeks who lived in the province of Asia heard the word of the Lord.” Acts 19:9b-10
God used those two verses to radically reshape the landscape of my imagination. I found myself asking what would happen if God chose to move among our generation in a similar way? I began to daydream about what God could do with our rented bar, a daily lunch break, and a handful of young disciples willing to take the ways of Jesus seriously together.
On April 1st, 2014, twelve future church planters gathered for the first time in our rented space on their daily lunch break to explore what God might do in them and through them. God’s faithfulness to this simple dream has blessed our hearts and blown our minds — and we know He is just getting started.
Our training consists of 3 distinct seasons uniquely designed to equip the church planter for the mission ahead. What began in one little rented out room has literally begun to circle the globe in the last few years. To God be the glory for the great things He has done!
